The Add Array wizard takes you step by step through the process of
discovering arrays on your storage network and adding them to the Storage
Navigator Modular 2 database.

Configuring Array Drives (Initial Setup Wizard)
After you finish using the Add Array wizard, you use the Initial Setup wizard
to configure the array’s spare drives. This wizard lets you:
Enable the array to send email notifications of serious array events
Set the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway for each
management port
Select the type of negotiation to be used
Set the IP addresses for each data port
After you run the Initial Setup wizard, you edit the management port IP
addresses for the controllers in your array to match the addresses you
specified in this wizard. For more information, please refer to the Hitachi

the Storage Navigator Modular 2 online help.
Creating Logical Units
After you add arrays and configure the array drives, you define the logical
units to be allocated to the host. In this step, you:
Add the LU to a RAID group
Enter a LUN number and specifying the amount of free space to be
allocated to the LUN
Specify a stripe size
Indicate whether formatting is necessary
