Chapter 9 Inverter Functions
9-3-3
9.3.2 Switching the Acceleration/Deceleration Time in Two Stages
How to change the motor acceleration/deceleration time using an external I/O input signal?
Since high torque is required to start the motor, how to accelerate slowly at low speed and then
have higher acceleration at speed above a certain level?
How to accelerate/decelerate the motor quickly for forward rotation, but slowly for reverse
rotation?
The two-stage acceleration/deceleration function can be used to switch the acceleration/
deceleration time during operation according to the "Accel/Decel change trigger selection
[A094]*
1
" setting.
To perform switching using an input terminal, assign "2-stage Acceleration/Deceleration [2CH]"
to any one of input terminal function.
Acceleration time 1

Deceleration time 1
setting or monitor
Sets acceleration time 2.
Sets deceleration time 2.
Accel/Decel change
trigger selection
Switches the acceleration/deceleration time according to
the [2CH] input terminal.
The acceleration/deceleration time is switched according
to the frequency set in [A095]
*1
/[A096]
*1
.
When the rotation direction command is switched during
operation, the acceleration/deceleration time is also switched.
Accel1 to Accel2
frequency transition point
Sets the frequency at which to switch when accelerating
and [A094]
*1
is set to "01".
Decel1 to Decel2
frequency transition point
Sets the frequency at which to switch when decelerating
and [A094]
*1
is set to "01".
2-stage acceleration/deceleration [2CH]:
When [A094]
*1
is set to "00", the acceleration/ deceleration
time can be switched by turning this signal on and off.
*1. "2nd-motor control [SET]" target parameter. The second control parameter is also subject to setting.
