Chapter 9 Inverter Functions
9-8-7
PID integral value reset function
Turn on the "PID integration reset [PIDC](24)" input to clear the integral value of the PID
operation.
When using the [PIDC] input, assign "PID integration reset [PIDC](24)" to one of the input
terminals.
If the [PIDC] input is turned on while the inverter is running with PID enabled, the integrated
value added to the PID output command is cleared, causing a sudden fluctuation in the PID
output command value, and issues such as an overcurrent trip to occur. When the [PIDC] input
is turned on, the PID operation should be turned off.
PID sleep function
The inverter stops if the PID output remains at or below the "PID sleep start level [A156]" for the
duration of the "PID sleep active time [A157]". The stop method (deceleration stop/free run
stop) applied is based on "STOP mode selection [b091]" settings.
This function works even when the "Disable PID [PID] (23)" input is on during PID operation.
Over deviation for PID control signal
The "Over deviation for PID control [OD] (04)" output turns on when the PID deviation exceeds
the "PID over deviation level [C044]".
To use this function, assign "Over deviation for PID control [OD] (04)" to one of the output
terminals.
PID feedback comparison signal
If the PID feedback is outside the setting range, the "PID feedback comparison [FBV] (31)"
output turns ON. The ON/OFF level for the PID feedback compare signal ([C052]/[C053])
should be set as a percentage (%), with the maximum frequency being 100%.
To use this function, assign "PID feedback comparison [FBV] (31)" to one of the output
terminals.
Set the PID feedback compare signal level so that the OFF level ([C052]) ON level ([C053]). If
the OFF level ([C052]) < ON level ([C053]), the OFF level is converted internally to a value equal
to the ON level. In this case, the PID feedback compare signal is ON at values lower than the ON
level ([C053]), and OFF at values above.
This function works by setting the ON level/OFF level to a value other than 0.0.
This function only works during operation.
