Why does my Hobart UX leave stripes and stains on dishes?
    • A
      Amy WarnerAug 1, 2025
If your Hobart Dishwasher leaves stripes and stains, it could be due to several reasons. First, the rinse aid concentration might be too high; in this case, reduce the quantity as per the instructions. Alternatively, hard water or high mineral content could be the cause; check your water quality and consult your local water authority for details. The ideal degree of hardness is 4° Clark, and the ideal conductivity value is max. 80 µS/cm for stainless steel washware and max. 400 µS/cm for dishes. Conversely, insufficient rinse aid concentration can also cause stains, so increase the quantity according to the instructions. Finally, if your machine has a softener, ensure you are using only granular regeneration salt.

What to do if my Hobart UX Dishwasher gets louder during the wash cycle?

If your Hobart Dishwasher becomes much louder during the wash cycle, it might be due to excessive foam production caused by unsuitable detergent and rinse aid. To resolve this, use a suitable detergent and rinse aid, and pre-clean the washware. Another potential cause is the contact of foam-producing substances like albumins. Again, using suitable detergent and rinse aid and pre-cleaning the washware are recommended.

Why does my Hobart UX Dishwasher stop during the wash program?

      dcantrellAug 20, 2025
If your Hobart Dishwasher suddenly stops during the wash program, it could be due to a couple of reasons. First, the machine might be connected to an energy management system that cuts out the energy consumer, or it might be interlocked with another energy consumer unit; in this case, connect the machine separately, and it's recommended to call an electrician. Another possibility is a blown site fuse; check the site fuses to see if this is the cause.
