Selecting a Custom Security Mode
To select a custom security mode, press the Mode button. Then repeatedly press the
down arrow to scroll to your mode selection. To activate a mode, press the number
corresponding to your selection. (If you have memorized a mode number, it is not
necessary to scroll to your mode selection. Simply press the Mode button and then
the mode number.)
Selecting a new mode with a higher security level (one that arms all or part of your
security system) or selecting one that leaves the status unchanged does not require a
passcode.
Selecting a new mode with a lower security level (one that disarms all or part of your
security system) will display a prompt for you to enter your passcode.
Special Protection Modes
The special protection feature provides separate protection for special areas of your
home such as a home office or a collectible cabinet. For example, areas with special
protection can remain armed while the rest of the system is disarmed.
To effectively use your special protection modes, you will need to design a special
protection mode that will arm the chosen area and another special protection mode
that will disarm the chosen area. These special protection modes can be activated at
any time and can be independent from the rest of your system. For example, you can
arm your home office while your security system is completely disarmed.
The red LED next to the UP arrow is lit when a special protection point is disarmed.
