1.2 DEFINITIONS
LINE: A physical line to which the intelligent field devices are connected:
Detectors
Audio / visual devices
Manual call points (MCP)
Input and output modules
POINTS: Are the intelligent field devices that can be connected to the FACP. A maximum of 50 points can be
associated to each zone.
ZONES: Are groupings of points. They serve as a basic indication to identify the physical position of an event.

GROUPS: Are a software set that allows the necessary associations for the execution of an activation. The
maximum number of groups are:
400 in a standalone FACP
1600 in a network system
