Warning notes and symbols in the operating instructions
These Operating instructions describe the unit, its operation, possible ap-
plications and the use of the UV measuring strips which go with it. They
contain safety information and information on danger points to ensure safe
and correct handling of the unit.
The following symbols can be found alongside all safety notices in these
Operating instructions that indicate points where persons may be at risk. An
additional signal word is used to indicate the severity of the potential injury.
Pay close attention to this information and take particular care in these cir-
cumstances to avoid accidents.
Observe these notes closely and be especially careful in these cases in or-
der to preclude accidents.
DANGER! marks an immediately threatening danger. If it is not avoided,
death or very severe injuries will result. Damage to property is
possible.
WARNING! marks a possible danger. If it is not avoided, death or very se-
vere injuries could result. Damage to property is possible.
CAUTION! marks a possible danger. If it is not avoided, slight injury could
result. Damage to property is possible.
The symbols used have the following meaning:
Warning symbol ( general).
This symbol warns against electrical danger.
This symbol warns against UV radiation
This Symbol warns against thermal danger (e.g. hot surfaces)
The two following symbols are used to address practices for optimal opera-
tion and/or prevention of damage to the equipment. These information are
not related to hazardous situations. Additionally, the signal words
ATTENTION! and NOTE! are used.
ATTENTION!
This symbol and the accompanying signal word appear in
the Operating Instructions in sections where particular at-
tention should be paid in order to prevent the unit being
damaged or destroyed.
NOTE!
This symbol is found next to notes, tips on operation and
useful information.
