4. Assembly and commissioning
4.1. General
 Only operate the UV-Scan in dry areas.
 Protect the unit and the power supply unit from splashed water and
rain.
 Do not use the unit in dirty, dusty or oily environments.
 Do not expose the unit to hard impacts.
 The unit should only be operated in room temperatures from 15-30°C
NOTE
Marked fluctuations in temperature may cause meas-
urement errors. For this reason, the measuring device
should be left to settle to the ambient temperature for a
while before being switched on.
NOTE
Because the UV-Scan is a highly sensitive optical
measuring device, it should not be used in direct
sunlight or under very bright light sources, since this
may distort the measurement results.
4.2. Changing the mains adapter on the plug-in power supply unit
The UV-Scan is provided with a plug-in switchable power supply unit which
allows it to be used worldwide at different mains supply voltages. For easy
adaptation to the power supply in question, the primary adapter can be
swapped over very easily. The scope of delivery contains adapters for
Europe, the USA, UK and Australia. Please attach the right adapter before
commissioning for the first time.
 Press the locking button and
push adapter outward.
 Place the new adapter in the
guide rail and push inward until
the adapter clicks into place.
