1. Description
The Hönle UV-Scan measuring device, in combination with the teas
®
UV
Strips, is used for measuring UV doses simply and rapidly. The teas
®
UV
Strips are stuck directly onto the item to be irradiated and thus record the
radiation dosage precisely at the surface of the work piece. Because of the
very thin, flexible design and easy attachment of the self-adhesive measur-
ing strip, this process is also suitable for applications which had been diffi-
cult to monitor using earlier measuring processes. The tesa
®
UV Strips are
thus used primarily in sheet-fed and rotation printing, and also anywhere
that the use of a wire connected measuring system is not possible.
After irradiation, the teas
®
UV Strip is removed from the work piece and
placed in the UV-Scan evaluation unit. In just a few seconds, the device
then displays the radiation dose in mJ/cm
2
. The measured value can be
matched to a measurement position (machine number) and saved, together
with the date, time and an individual comment, in the measured values
memory. This means that the progress of the radiation dose can be easily
recorded over an extended period of time, even if there are several different
measurement positions. The graphic presentation of the measured values
at the device itself gives a quick overview of the situation. For more precise
evaluation and archiving, the data can be transmitted to the PC via
RS232/USB and imported, for example, into Microsoft EXCEL.

can be displayed in various languages and the transformer has vari-
able plug adapters for different mains voltages
Optional integrated accumulator to work two hours without mains supply
