Common Problems
This section
describes
common
problems
you may
encounter
when
using
the
logic analyzer
LAN.
It
assumes
you
have
been
able
to
connect
to
the
logic analyzer
in
the
past.
If
this is
not
so,
refer
to
the
previous
section
first.
If
you cannot connect to the logic analyzer
If
you suspect a
bad
LAN
connection between your computer
and
the
logic
analyzer, you
can
verify the network connection by using
the
ping command
or another similar
echo
request utility.
If
a bad connection is revealed:
D Make
sure
the
logic analyzer is on.
D Check
the
physical
connection
to
the
LAN.
D Make
sure
the
Internet
(IP) Address
of
the
logic analyzer
is
set
up
correctly
in
the
LAN Settings
menu
under
System External 1/0.
D
If
the
logic analyzer
and
the
computer
are
on
different
networks
or
subnets,
make
sure
the
Gateway Address
in
the
LAN
Settings
menu
is
set
to
the
address
of
the
gateway machine. Get
the
address
of
gateway
machine from
your
system
administrator.
