Removing the hard drive blank
Remove the component as indicated.
Installing a hot-plug SAS or SATA drive
The server can support 8 SAS or SATA hard drives in a SFF configuration, or 10 drives in an SFF
configuration with the optional hard drive cage. In an LFF configuration, the server can support 4 SAS or
SATA hard drives.
To install the component:
1. Remove the drive blank.
2. Prepare the drive.
3. Install the drive.
