The 6 kVA/10 kVA UPSs cannot share battery strings.
When a 15 kVA/20 kVA UPS parallel system shares a battery string, set the
same battery string capacity and charge current for each UPS.
Battery capacity setting (Ah) = (Capacity of a single battery string x Number of
parallel battery strings)/Number of parallel UPSs sharing the battery strings
Capacity of a single battery string refers to the capacity of a single battery pack
in the battery pack scenario, and the capacity of a single battery in the external
battery scenario. Number of parallel battery strings is the number of battery
strings connected in parallel. For example, if three strings containing a total of
six 9 Ah battery packs are connected in parallel to two 20 kVA UPSs, the
battery capacity is 13 Ah (rounded value): 13.5 Ah = (9 Ah x 3)/2.
If battery packs are used for power backup, the charge current can be set in the
range of 0C to 0.1C. Maximum charge current setting (A) of parallel battery
packs = (0.1 x Capacity of a single battery string x Number of parallel battery
strings)/Number of parallel UPSs sharing the battery strings. If the calculated
maximum charge current is less than 1 A, set it to 1 A. If the maximum charge
current calculated is greater than 4 A, set it to 4 A.
If external batteries connected in series instead of battery packs are used, the
charge current can be set in the range of 0C to 0.15C. Use two UPSs sharing a
65 Ah battery string as an example. If the calculated battery capacity is (65 x
1)/2 = 32.5, set it to 32 Ah (rounded value). If the calculated maximum current
is (0.1 x 65 x 1)/2 = 3.25, set it to 3.2 A.
When a single 6 kVA /10 kVA UPS contains one battery pack, the maximum
charge current must be less than or equal to 1.0 A.
When a single 15 kVA/20 kVA UPS contains two battery packs, the maximum
charge current must be less than or equal to 1.0 A.
