Connections for IBM Storage Scale System 6000
Care must be taken to note the orientation of each IBM Storage Scale System 6000 so that the
interconnect cables are properly connected.
The following gure shows the ports on IBM Storage Scale System 6000.

Supported host interface adapters, cables, and transceivers
Each IBM Storage Scale System 6000 server canister has eight Gen 5 x16 PCIe slots to support optional
host interface adapters. The host interface adapters can be supported in any of the interface slots.
The following tables provide an overview of the supported host interface adapters, also the cables and
transceivers compatible with them.
