LED type Color States Description
Status True green Off The controller RAID
stack is not operational.
Blink The node is in a
candidate or service
state. So, the node is not
able to perform I/O in
a cluster. It is safe to
remove the node.
Fast blink The canister is
performing destage
activity.
Solid The controller is active
and joined a cluster. The
canister has state data
that must be preserved
on shutdown. Normally,
this means that it is
active in the cluster,
handling I/O; but a
transient starting state
is also being covered.
It is possible to get
held in starting state
if a quorum cannot be
established; then, the
alert lights.
Fault Amber Off No isolated FRU failures
on the canister.
Blink The canister is being
identied by using an
identify command.
Solid The canister has one
or more isolated FRU
failures and they require
service or replacement.
PSU status LEDs
These LEDs are used to monitor power supply units (PSUs) of the IBM Storage Scale System 6000.
The PSU status LEDs are visible from the rear of the enclosure. The following gure provides a close view
of the power module status LED.
