Drive status LEDs
These LEDs are used to monitor drives of the IBM Storage Scale System 6000.
Each drive carrier assembly of IBM Storage Scale System 6000 includes a set of LEDs that are visible from
the top of the drive carrier. On system startup, the green LED illuminates automatically.
In the following gure of the drive status LEDs on a drive carrier, the green LED is on.

The following table describes the drive carrier assembly LEDs supported in the IBM Storage Scale System
6000.

LED Color States Description
Activity True green Off The drive is powered off
or is not online.
Blink The drive is being
powered on or spun up.
Flashing Activity on the drive.
Solid The drive is powered on
and ready, but with no
activity.
