b) Rotate the levers in the direction shown.
c) While holding the card by its levers, pull upward to remove the card from its slot.
d) As you remove each card from the system, place it in a slot in the ESD tray in the order in which you
remove each card.
Tip: Place all of the cards from the row nearest the fan in the rst row of the ESD tray.
The rows in the ESD tray correspond with the rows in the system. If you place the cards in the tray
one row at a time in the order in which you remove the cards, you do not need to label each card.
When you replace the cards, install them row by row in the order that you placed them in the tray.
e) Repeat steps “2.a” on page 589 through “2.d” on page 590 to remove all of the cards in the row
inside the system that is nearest the fans.
3. Remove the memory modules from locations P1-C22 through P1-C53.
a) Remove the memory module or ller by pushing the tabs (A) down and outward as shown in the
following gure.
The lever action of the tabs forces the memory module or ller out of the connector.
