Procedure
1. Read the safety information that begins on page “Safety” on page v and
“Installation guidelines” on page 37.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cord and
all external cables (see “Turning off the server” on page 23).
3. Remove the server cover (see “Removing the cover” on page 45).
4. If PCI riser-card assembly 1 contains one or more adapters, remove riser-card
assembly 1 (see “Removing a PCI riser-card assembly” on page 46).
