8.6 Magnetic Ring and Ferrite Clamp
A magnetic ring can be installed on the input or output side of the AC drive. Install it
as close to the AC drive as possible. A magnetic ring installed on the input side can
suppress noise in the input power supply system of the AC. A magnetic ring installed
on the output side can suppress interference generated by the AC drive to external
devices and reduce the bearing current.
