Ascending
1.Approachtheobstacleorthecurbslowly,head-onand
atarightangle.
2.Dependingonthewheeldrivetype,stopinoneofthe
followingpositions:
a.Inthecaseofcentrallydrivenmobilitydevices:5-
10cmbeforetheobstacle.
b.Forallotherdrives:approx.30-50cminfrontof
theobstacle.
3.Checkthepositionofthefrontwheels.Theymustbein
drivingdirectionandatrightanglestotheobstacle.
4.Approachslowlyandkeepataconsistentspeeduntil
therearwheelshavealsopassedovertheobstacle.
Descending
Theapproachtodescendanobstacleisthesameasto
ascenditwiththedifferencethatyouneednottostop
beforedescending.
1.Descendtheobstaclewithmediumspeed.
Whendescendinganobstacletooslowlyitcould
happenthattheanti-tippersgetstuckandlift
thedrivewheelsofftheground.Drivingthe
mobilitydeviceisthennolongerpossible.
