6.1Controlsprotectionsystem
Thewheelchaircontrolssystemisttedwithanoverload
protection.
Ifthedriveisseverelyoverloadedoveralongperiodoftime
(forexample,whendrivingupasteephill)andespecially
whentheambienttemperatureishigh,thecontrolssystem
couldoverheat.Inthiscase,thewheelchairperformanceis
graduallyreduceduntilitcomestoahalt.Thestatusdisplay
showsacorrespondingerrorcode(refertoControlunitand
Quickassistanceonsystemfailurechapters,ALBEResprit
usermanual).Byswitchingthepowersupplyoffandback
onagain,theerrorcodeisclearedandthecontrolssystem
isswitchedbackon.Itcanhowevertakeuptoveminutes
untilthecontrolssystemhascooleddownenoughforthe
drivetorestorefullperformanceagain.
Ifthedriveisstalledbyaninsurmountableobstacle,for
example,acurborsimilarwhichistoohigh,andthedriver
attemptsdrivingformorethan20secondsagainstthis
obstacle,thecontrolssystemautomaticallyswitchesoffto
preventthemotorsfrombeingdamaged.Thestatusdisplay
showsacorrespondingerrorcode(refertoControlunitand
Quickassistanceonsystemfailurechapters,ALBEResprit
usermanual).Byswitchingoffandbackonagain,theerror
codeisclearedandthecontrolssystemisswitchedbackon.
