5.6.1Disengaging,re-engagingmotors
CAUTION!
Riskofthemobilitydevicerunningaway
Whenthemotorsaredisengaged(for
pushoperationwhilstfreewheeling),the
electromagneticmotorbrakesaredeactivated.
Whenthemobilitydeviceisparked,the
couplingringsforengaginganddisengagingthe
motorsmustwithoutfailbelockedrmlyinto
the"POWERDRIVEN"mode(electromagnetic
motorbrakesactivated).
Themotorsmayonlybedisengagedbyanattendant,
notbytheuser.
Thisensuresthatthemotorsareonlydisengaged
ifanattendantisavailabletosecurethemobility
deviceandpreventunintendedrolling.
Thecouplingringsfordisengagingthemotorsarelocated
onthepowereddrivewheels,refertoWheelsandDriving
chapters,ALBERespritusermanual.
Disengagingmotor
1.Switchoffcontrolunit.
2.RotatecouplingringAclockwiseasfarasitwillgo.
3.ReleasecoverBprotrudesbeyondthecouplingring
and“0”isdisplayedinthewindowC.
Thepowereddrivewheelisnowdisengaged.Wheelis
in“free-wheeling”mode.
4.Performstep2to3onbothsides.
Re-engagingmotor
1.RotatecouplingringAuntilitreachesthemiddlestop.
2.ReleasecoverBisushwiththecouplingringand“1”
isdisplayedinthewindowC.
Themotorisnowre-engaged.Wheelisin”Power
Driven”mode.
3.Performstep1to2onbothsides.
4.Switchoncontrolunit.
