PRE-DRIVING OPERATIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS
Always restrain children with seat belts or CRS before driving the vehicle. Use a
suitable CRS for small children who cannot wear seat belts properly.
WARNING
• For your child's safety, give priority to the legal requirements and precautions
related to CRS.
• Use a CRS that is suitable for the child's age, weight, and body size.
• Use a CRS until the child grows up and is able to wear the seat belt properly.
• Do not use a CRS that has been subjected to strong impact, such as a traffic
accident.
Child Restraint System (CRS)
Types of Restraint System
A typical restraint system is shown below.
For Infants
This type of CRS is designed so that in the
event of a collision, impact forces will be
evenly spread over the baby's back, with
minimal jarring to the vulnerable head and
neck area.
This complies with groups 0 and 0+ of the
UN (ECE) R44 regulation.
