SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
Handling the Radiator
Cleaning the Radiator Core
Cooling efficiency is compromised when
there is dirt or dust plugging air passages
in the radiator core. This can also cause
corrosion of these cores. Periodically wash
the radiator core with tap water.

WARNING
• Before cleaning cores, in models
with passive entry and start system,
make sure to turn the engine off and
switch the power mode to "OFF". In
models without a passive entry and
start system, make sure to turn the
engine off and remove the key from
the starter switch.
• The area around the engine is
extremely hot immediately after
vehicle operation, so wait until the
vehicle has cooled down before
cleaning. Otherwise, you could be
burned.
CAUTION
• When washing the radiator core,
make sure that they have sufficiently
cooled. Otherwise, the cores could
be damaged.
• Do not clean the radiator and their
surrounding areas using water that
is supplied under high pressure.
Doing so may cause damage.
• When cleaning the radiator core, do
not crush or damage the fins.
