The selector lever cannot be operated from the "P" position to any other position
when the brake pedal is not depressed. Be sure to operate the selector lever while
depressing the brake pedal.
Shift Lock System
NOTE
• The shift lock system is a system for safety to prevent incorrect operation of the
automatic transmission model.
Deactivating the Shift Lock
If the selector lever cannot be operated from the "P" position to any other position while
depressing the brake pedal, perform the following as a temporary measure to operate
the selector lever.
1. Fully depress the brake pedal and
securely set the parking brake.
2. Insert the key into the shift lock
release slot.

WARNING
• When the selector lever cannot be operated from the "P" position to any other
position even after performing the operation below repeatedly, the shift lock
system may have a failure. Have your vehicle inspected at the nearest Isuzu
Dealer as soon as possible.
ADVICE
• To prevent damage, apply a cloth
etc. when inserting it.
3. Press the push button on the selector
lever and move the selector lever
while pushing the key into the slot.
