Brake Assist Operation
The brake assist function activates when the autonomous emergency brake (AEB)
activates or when the brake is applied during the forward collision warning.

Turn Assist
Models for the European Market
The AEB assists the driver's brake operation to reduce the risk of collisions with
oncoming vehicles when turning right or left at intersections.
It functions when turning right in a right-hand drive model or when turning left in a left-
hand drive model.
WARNING
• AEB operates only in the following conditions.
- When the turn signal is on and your vehicle speed is approximately 18 km/h (11
MPH) or less
- When the speed of an oncoming vehicle is approximately 40 km/h (25 MPH)
or more
• Depending on the shapes of intersections, it may not be able to assist the driver
appropriately.
