Verification of Barcode Scanner

Check the barcode scanner by scanning a test barcode.

To Test the Barcode Scanner:

1. Press PRINT/SCAN to display the Print menu:

2. Press 7 to display the second page of the Print menu:

3. Press 3 to test the scanner:

4. Position the scanner port (see page 5) approximately four inches from the barcode label that is

shown below:

Note: The barcode shown above is formatted as Code 128.

5. Press PRINT/SCAN. The characters that are read from the barcode are displayed in the screen:

6. Verify that test1234567890abcdefgxyztest is displayed.

7. Press CANCEL three times.
