- Connect pressure gauge (3) t o the pressure point upstream of t he load proportion ing valve.
- Connect pressure gauge (2) to the pressure point downstream of the load proportioning valve.
- If the pressure gauges are not equipped with automatic bleed valves, bleed them manually by means of the rings on the pressure
gauges.

- With the engine idling, gradually press the brake pedal to obtain a pressure of 100 bars on the pressure gauge (3, Figure 2.15)
fitted upstream of the load proportioning valve. This pressure must be constant whether the vehicle is laden or unladen.
- Check that the pressure reading on the pressure gauge (2, Figure 2.15) fitted downstream o f the load proportioning valve co rre-
sponds to the values on the plate (Figure 2.16). For example, with a load of 1000 kg on the rear axle, w i th an upstream pressure
of 100 bars and pushrod-bar clearance of 0.1 mm, the downstream pressure must be 17.5 bars.
- If t he pressure downstream of the load proportioning valve is different, adjust the contro l lin k (1, Figure 2.14) t o rest ore it to
the correc t values.
- For more ac curate adjustments, repeat the tests for s everal rear axle load values (Figure 2.16).
