Freezing of the water heater and its plumbing components will result in severe damage not
covered by warranty. Follow these recommendations if the unit is to be stored in a freezing
environment for long periods of time. At the start of the winter season or before traveling to
a location where freezing conditions are likely, the unit must be winterized.
To winterize the Aqua Go water heater, drain the water out of the water heater
using the drain chute.
Set the RV plumbing bypass valves so no water or antifreeze will enter the water
heater.
Winterize the RV water lines with antifreeze as normal. (Refer to Winterinzing
the Plumbing System).
Do not insert the water inlet lter or heating cartridge into the appliance during
winter if the appliance is not used.
Close the EZ Drain Lever and the access door.
Lime scale occurs as a result of precipitation from “hard” water. The appliance must be
decalcied regularly depending on water hardness and hot water consumption.
The appliance must be ushed
with clean water when nished.
For safety reasons, once the process is started, it must not be
stopped until the system has been rinsed. All operating modes of the appliance are blocked
until decalcication is completed. Once completed, switch the water heater power OFF then
ON to return to normal operation.
Decalcication must be done through your RV dealer. Specialized equipment is required
and cannot be easily accomplished by the owner.
Models with the interior rotary control dial have a “CLEAN” setting available. These mod-
els also include a built in water consumption meter that will light the yellow LED (on the
rotary dial) when decalcication is required. This LED will go out briey every 7 seconds
indicating decalcication is required.
□ When the drain chute is folded out, it protrudes past the sidewall of
the RV.
□ When walking past or stooping down, make sure you and others
have sucient clearance to prevent injuries.
□ Never actuate the Easy Drain Lever as long as the appliance is under
water pressure or is still hot.
□ Danger of pinching/crushing ngers when the Easy Drain Lever is
closed! Never put ngers between the Easy Drain Lever and the latch.
Using air pressure to blow out the Aqua Go water heater is NOT
recommended and may damage the appliance.
