5.8 Channel Configuration - RoIP
Any of the ACU-5000’s channels 1 through twelve can be configured to the RoIP channel type.
RoIP (Radio over IP) is a JPS Interoperability Solutions proprietary protocol designed to
optimize VoIP communications in a radio communications environment. The hardware interface
for any and all of the RoIP channels is any of the ACU-5000 RJ-45 LAN connectors. See Section
3.4 for more information regarding the use of this RoIP protocol and the devices that employ it.
As is provided for all channel types, context-sensitive help information is available to assist
proper RoIP channel configuration.
