5.1.5 P rinter (NKG-52) Maintenance and Inspection
Inspection sequence Inspected item Procedure
1 Printer control system Check the printer cable connection.
2 Print out test (see *1) Perform a print out test using the JHS-32B.

FEED
switch Press
FEED
and check that paper advances by one
line.
4 Alarm operation Open the paper cover, remove the paper roll from
the holders, then press
FEED
. Check that the
buzzer sounds (because the printer is now out of
paper).

ALM OFF
switch (see *2) If the buzzer sounded in item 4, press the
ALM OFF
switch to stop the alarm.

RESET
switch After stopping the alarm (item 5), press the
FEED
switch. It should not function (because the printer is
in the error state) . Check that the paper advances by
one line when RESET is pressed. Then press
FEED
and check that the paper advances by one line.
TIP
• *1 Perform the print test using the main unit
(JHS-32B).
• *2 When an alarm sounds, replace the printer
paper. Replacing the paper will not stop the
alarm.
• *3 Be sure to perform this test only after item 4.
This test can not be performed under any other
conditions.
