Stopping Accidental Transmissions
If a false distress call is transmitted accidentally, stop it immediately.
OPERATION
Press
STOP
.
Transmission is terminated and the CH16 Status
Display appears.
TIP
For any controller which does not have priority,
press
OPE
on the controller currently in use to
change OPE to OFF.

is pressed, the distress call has been transmitted. It is
therefore vital that local shipping and rescue operations be informed that the
transmission was an error. Inform them of the mistake on CH16.
