Main Displays
This section describes the channel status display, DSC menu display, DSC set up display
and window set up display.
● Status Display
q Channel currently selected.
w The selected transmitting power and trans-
mitting mode.
25W : 25W is selected.
1W : 1W is selected.
25WTX : Transmitting mode with 25W
power.
1WTX : Transmitting mode with 1W
power.
e Indicates whether the audible alarm is on or
off for normal calls (those not of category
distress or urgency) in DSC mode.
ENABLE : Alarm sounds.
DISABLE: Alarm does not sound.
r Indicates whether squelch is open or closed.
OPEN : Squelch is open for reception.
CLOSE : Squelch is closed, and recep-
tion disabled.
t Indicates the power source type.
AC : AC power
DC : DC power
y Indicates whether key click sound is on or
off. Pressing
and
SP
at the same
time switches the sound on or off. The key
click sound is on when the symbol is lit, and
off when it is not lit.
u This graphic bar is displayed for a specific
period of time when
DIM
is pressed. Adjust
backlighting intensity of the LCD and keys

i The present position, displayed when a
navigation aid such as GPS is connected.
o The present date and time in UTC time.

!1 Indicates whether the speaker is on or off.
ON : Speaker is on.
OFF : Speaker is off.
