When a guard receiver is connected, it is possible to receive two channels simultaneously.

Adjusts the brightness of the LCD back-
light and the BUSY LEDs. There are four
levels, including OFF. The brightness
level is set to the maximum level when
the power is turned on.

key
Press to receive USA channels around
North America. ITU channels is automati-
cally selected when the power is turned
on. Press
USA
again to revert to ITU
channels. When USA channels are
selected, the LED lights up.
y Speaker
Outputs received voice sound. If RX1
and RX2 receive signals at the same
time, the voices are mixed.

POWER
switch
Turns the power on or off. When the
power is turned on, CH16 appears on the
RX1 display and CH13 on the RX2
display.

SQL
control
Adjusts the squelch threshold. Turn the
RX1 and RX2 SQL controls counterclock-
wise, until noise is audible. Then slowly
turn them clockwise until the noise stops.
Finally, turn them clockwise a little
further.
TIP
The further you turn
SQL
counterclock-
wise, the weaker the signal that can be
received, and on the other hand, the
further it is turned clockwise, the stronger
the signal must be to be received.
q Channel display
Channel numbers RX1 and RX2, respec-
tively. When receiving signals on a chan-
nel, BUSY for that channel lights up.
