4.2 Communicating Using a Specified Channel
Communicating Using a Speci-
fied Channel
For standard communication, originate the call using CH16 (telephone mode) or CH70 (DSC
mode), then change the channel to another channel, private channel or memory channel. In
addition, weather information can be received on a weather channel.
4.2.1
Communicating Using a Private Channel
At installation, up to 99 frequencies can be allocated as Private Channels.
Refer to 8.2 (5) Private Channels for further information.

MASTER appears for OPE in the CH16 Status
Display.
TIP
When no remote controller is connected,
pressing
OPE
is not necessary because
MASTER automatically appears for OPE.
A controller which does not have priority can be
used only when no other controller is in use
[OPE: OFF], by just pressing the
OPE
key.
When using the controller which has priority,
pick up the handset or press
OPE
to make a
call.
