Owner's Manual
3.1 Perform Initial Tasks
When you receive your Geode, perform the tasks outlined
in this section before first use.
3.1.1 Review Documentation
This owner’s manual and other documents are available
on the Juniper Systems website at www.junipersys.com/
products/geode. View, download, and print documents as
desired.
3.1.2 Charge the Battery
The Geode has an internal, non-removable battery that
can provide more than 10 hours of use. When your Geode
arrives, the battery will carry a charge. However, a complete
charge is recommended before relying on the Geode for a
full day of work. Charge the battery as follows:
1. Insert the USB-C end of the included USB charge cable
into the wall charger.
2. Insert the other USB-C end into the Geode.
3. If necessary, attach the appropriate plug adapter for
your country onto the AC wall charger.
4. Plug the charger into a wall socket.
5. Charge the battery pack at room temperature (68°F
or 20°C) for 46 hours (for the first charge). While the
battery pack is charging, the red LED blinks. When it is
fully charged and external power is applied, the red LED
is solid. The LED will turn off when the external power is
removed.
Note: For best results, only use the included wall charger
and cable to charge the internal battery. Using a third-
party USB cable may result in extremely long charge times
or an incomplete charge.
