Geode GNS3 Real-Time Sub-Meter GPS Receiver
Next to the icon you will see the battery charge indicator,
the name of the Geode you are connected to, and the
active correction type (SBAS, NTRIP, or Atlas).
The vertical menu in the upper right corner provides a
drop-down menu with the options found on the Settings
page: Preferences, Connect Device, Receiver Configuration,
Upgrade Geode, Help/Feedback, and About. For more
information about these options, see 7.5 Settings Page on
page 79.
7.2 Skyplot Page
Tap the Skyplot icon on the navigation bar.
The Skyplot page shows which satellites are being used in
the positioning solution and where they are in the sky. It
also shows satellites that are being tracked by the Geode.
On the Skyplot page, each satellite is identified by a space
vehicle number (SVN) and color for its constellation. The
location of each satellite on the skyplot indicates where
it resides in the sky overhead relative to true north. The
outside ring is 0° elevation (horizon). The inside ring is 45°
elevation—halfway above the horizon from the Geode’s
present location. The intersection of the two lines indicates
directly overhead.
Satellite symbols outlined in red indicate the satellites
that are being tracked, but they are not yet a part of the
positioning solution. Satellite symbols outlined in blue
indicate that a correction is being applied to the signal.
