*OPT?
option identification query
To read the identification code of optional switch cards installed in the Model 7001.
*OPT?
The *OPT? query command places the option identification code in the Output Queue. When
the Model 7001 is addressed to talk, the code is sent from the Output Queue to the computer.
The option identification code indicates the assigned model number for each slot of the main-
frame. For example, if a Model 7011 is installed in slot 1 and slots 2 is empty, the following
message will be sent to the computer:
7011, NONE

20 OUTPUT 707; “*OPT?” ! Request option ID code
30 ENTER 707; A$ ! Address 7001 to talk
40 PRINT A$ ! Display option ID code
