This command is used to enable/disable the status message mode for the Model 7001. The status

message mode is a diagnostic tool that provides real-time messages that relate to the current op-

erating state of the instrument. When the status message mode is disabled, only the error events

(EE) in Table 4-1 will be reported to the display.
