TROUBLESHOOTING

If you do not nd the cause of trouble, consult your dealer for assistance.

1. When engine is dif

cult to start

Start motor does not rotate when key
switch is turned

Depress the clutch pedal unless depressed (Manual type).

Put the PTO switch to the OFF position.

If the switch or start motor is faulty, have it repaired in a
workshop.

If any terminal is loose or corroded, clean or x it rmly.
2. When output is in
-
sufcient

Valve out of adjustment

Adjust to proper valve clearance.
Inlet 0.010 in. (0.25 mm),
Exhaust 0.012 in. (0.30 mm)

Air cleaner is dirty

Clean or replace the element at every 100 to 200 hours of
operation.

Fuel injection pressure is wrong

Adjust it to 150 to 160 kgf/cm
2
or replace the injection noz-
zle.
3. When color of ex
-
haust is specially
bad

Fuel is of extremely poor quality

Select good quality fuel.
Temperature Fuel type
- Above 14°F (-10°C) NO.2 Diesel
- Below 14°F (-10°C) NO.1 Diesel

Nozzle is bad

If necessary, replace with new nozzle.
