5.1 System operation principle:
When the system is switched on, the supply and exhaust
fans are activated with minimum output for the by-pass
closing time. The fans are controlled in a stepless manner,
each of them with a separate independent signal. For about
3 min. the algorithm works with the supply air sensor as the
leading sensor, only after this time it returns to the master
sensor selected by the user.
Depending on cooling/heating demand the system au-
tomatically turns on the electrical heater, then the water
heater or water/DX cooler (if installed). The electrical heat-
er and the valve of water heater/cooler are controlled in
a stepless manner. The freon cooler solenoid valve is con-
trolled by an on/o signal.
Turning on the cooler and heaters occurs only within the
temperature ranges dened in the menu
//REG. TEMP, described in the chapter: Control of the com-
pact EVO-T +.
Anti-frost protection of the cross counterow/rotary heat
exchanger is based on an appropriate algorithm of the unit
operation – it turns on when the temperature indicated by
B4 sensor drops below preset value in the Tzad.rec param-
eter. Once the frost is eliminated the system switches back
to the previous operation mode
Thermal protection of the electric heater:
- TK thermostat which TURNS OFF the electric heater once
the temperature exceeds the preset value (+70°C). As soon
as temperature drops down, the electric heater turns on
automatically. If the thermostat is activated THREE TIMES,
the EVO-T+ is TURNED OFF. RESTARTING the device – after
manual alarm reset at the control box.
- Once the EVO-T+ is turned o, the electrical heater is im-
mediately turned o and the fans are turned o after 120
seconds (the heater is being cooled down in order to pre-
vent activation of the TK thermostat)
Thermal protection of the water heater from freezing
through:
- antifreeze thermostat with a capillary which, when the
temperature behind the exchanger falls below the set
value (+5°C), turns the system OFF and controls 100% of
the valve and switches on the circulation pump. When the
temperature rises and the min. warm-up time elapses, the
system automatically returns to normal operation. If the
thermostat is activated THREE TIMES, the EVOT+ is TURNED
OFF. RESTARTING the device – after manual alarm reset at
the control box..
The control system is prepared for controlling the ground
heat exchanger (GHEX) damper or the pre-heater. In winter
the GHEX heats up the intake air while in summer – cools it
down. Alternatively, it is possible to control a preeliminary
electric heater, to which only the PWM control signal and
the operating permit are given. The power supply and pro-
tection of the preeliminary heater remains with the user.
It is possible to purchase a dedicated control unit for the
three-phase electric preheater.
The system is also prepared for controlling the heater and
the secondary water cooler with 0÷10V signal. You can also
provide ON/OFF signal to the solenoid valve of the direct
expansion cooler – the valve is not provided. As far as the
cooperation with the circulation pump M1 of the water
heater is concerned, the unit’s automatics issues a poten-
tial-free signal for the control, while the provision of power
to the pump is left to the user.
In order to improve the heating eciency the system fea-
tures the fan output reduction algorithm. The algorithm
will be applied if the supply air duct temperature is main-
tained for more than 5 minutes below the lower supply
temperature limit (Tlo parameter – see
„Temperature adjustment” menu description). The fan out-
put will be getting down to 50% of the nominal preset,
however it will not get lower than the factory preset actua-
tion (factory default: 30%).
In emergency situation it is possible to turn o the system
with signal provided at DI2 input of the controller. Closed
contact
– normal operation, open – switching o the device. Re-
move the jumper in order to use this input – see the wiring
diagram.
Optionally, you can control shut-o damper actuators on
supply and exhaust. Depending on the conguration, se-
lect one of the digital outputs RE1(PK1)-RE5(PK5) and as-
sign the function Operation signal.
NOTE!
• If the pre-heater or GHEX is used, the B3 external tem
-
perature sensor should be removed from the unit and
installed (cable extension required) BEFORE the air inlet
to the GHEX.
• If the additional water cooler or heater is used, the B1
air inlet temperature sensor should be installed (cable
extension may be required) DOWNSTREAM the heat
exchanger.
• It is not recommended to reduce the fan speed below
50% due to the possibility of overheating of the electric
heater, which requires manual reset of the thermostat.
