Wireless Security Options — the following options are available for
encrypting data between the sender and the receiver when using a
wireless connection.
NOTE: Contact your network administrator for the security key.
- None (Not Secure)
- WEP (Not Secure)
- WPA/WPA2 Personal
Wireless IP Address
- Obtain an IP address automatically — if selected, the scanner
will use DHCP to obtain an IP address to connect to the network.
- Use the following IP address:
IP address: enter an IP address provided by your network
administrator.
Subnet mask: enter the subnet mask provided by your network
administrator.
Default gateway: enter the IP address of the gateway on the
network provided by your network administrator.
NOTE: If you want to know more about wireless security standards do
an internet search for Wireless Security Standards.
Security key — enter the security key of the wireless network you want
to connect to.
OK — when selected, displays all of the settings that will be applied to
the scanner.
