4.1.2 Settings on the Machine Screen
The following keys are provided at the bottom of the Machine Screen: [Tray Setting], [Both Sides Adjust], [Ad-
justment], [Controller], [Paper Set Reg./Del.], and [Custom Reg./Del.].
25 [Both Sides Adjust] Pressed to make adjustments on the zoom and posi-
tion for images printed on the front and back sides of
paper loaded in each tray (tray 1 to tray 8). Chart ad-
justment can be performed.
26 Machine status indicator/left Indicates the shutoff time when using Weekly Timer,
or the status of image controller. The shutoff time in-
dication has priority.
27 Time indicator Displays current time.
28 [Tray Setting] Pressed to specify a paper size and paper conditions
for each of main body trays and paper feeder unit.
Pressed to specify the paper size in Normal Use Set-
ting, or the paper size, paper name and weight in Per-
fect Bind Cover Setting, for each paper tray of Large
Capacity Post Inserter PI-PFU and the post insert-
er/finisher of the folding unit.
Pressed to also specify the paper size, paper name
and weight for the PB cover tray of the perfect binder.
29 Supply/Scrap Parts area Indicates the current status of toner supply. Also, it
notifies via a red indicator when the waste toner box
needs to be replaced, when staples need to be sup-
plied to the optionally-mounted stapler, and when the
scrap box need to be emptied.
30 Original Counter of Current Job Indicates the number of sheets in the original being
printed.
31 Job Management Displays the current status of the jobs to be operated
on the machine.
32 Message area Displays messages concerning the current status of
the machine or operation currently required.
