6.1 Original Setting

2 Press [COPY] tab to display the Copy Screen.
3 Select the desired original direction key from under [Direction].

Setting] to display the Original Setting Screen.
6.1.2 Specifying Bind Direction of the Original: Bind Direction
Use this setting to obtain simplex or duplex copies having the same edge as page top (referred to as side-
bound) from double-sided originals printed upside down on the reverse side (referred to as top-bound).
To make side-bound simplex or duplex copies from top-bound double-sided originals, select [Top] for [Bind
Direction] in the Original Setting. Select [Right & Left] for normal copying.

To make top-bound duplex copies from side-bound simplex or duplex originals, select [Top] for [Bind Direc-
tion] in the Output Setting.
