– Stand the vehicle upright.
– Remove screw cap 1 with membrane 2 and the O-ring.
– Press the brake piston back to its basic position and make sure that no brake fluid
overflows from the brake fluid reservoir.

Make sure when pushing back the brake piston that you do not press the
brake caliper against the spokes.

– Remove cotter pin 3, pull out pin 4, and remove the brake linings.
– Clean the brake caliper and brake caliper support.

– Check that leaf spring 5 in the brake caliper and sliding plate 6 in the brake
caliper support are seated correctly.

– Insert the brake linings, insert the pin, and mount the cotter pin.
– Operate the foot brake lever repeatedly until the brake linings are in contact with
the brake disc and there is a pressure point.

– Add brake fluid to level A.
Brake fluid DOT 4 / DOT 5.1 ( p. 109)
– Mount screw cap 1 with membrane 2 and the O-ring.

Clean up overflowed or spilt brake fluid immediately with water.
