14.13 Changing the speedometer battery
Preparatory work
– Remove the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 83)

Main work
– Remove screws 1.
– Pull the speedometer upward out of the holder.

– Using a coin, turn protection cap 2 all the way counterclockwise and remove it.
– Remove speedometer battery 3.
– Insert the new battery with the label facing upward.
Speedometer battery (CR 2430) ( p. 106)
– Check the O-ring of the protection cap for correct seating.

– Position protection cap 2 and turn all the way clockwise using a coin.
– Press any button on the speedometer.
The speedometer is activated.
– Position the speedometer in the holder.
– Mount and tighten the screws with washers.
Finishing work
– Refit the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 83)
– Check the headlight setting. ( p. 85)
– Set kilometers or miles. ( p. 18)
– Adjust the speedometer functions. ( p. 19)
– Set the clock. ( p. 19)
