14.13 Changing the speedometer battery
Preparatory work
Remove the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 83)

Main work
Remove screws 1.
Pull the speedometer upward out of the holder.

Using a coin, turn protection cap 2 all the way counterclockwise and remove it.
Remove speedometer battery 3.
Insert the new battery with the label facing upward.
Speedometer battery (CR 2430) ( p. 106)
Check the O-ring of the protection cap for correct seating.

Position protection cap 2 and turn all the way clockwise using a coin.
Press any button on the speedometer.
The speedometer is activated.
Position the speedometer in the holder.
Mount and tighten the screws with washers.
Finishing work
Refit the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 83)
Check the headlight setting. ( p. 85)
Set kilometers or miles. ( p. 18)
Adjust the speedometer functions. ( p. 19)
Set the clock. ( p. 19)
