14.5 Changing the fuses of individual power consumers

The fuse box containing the fuses of individual power consumers is located under the seat.
Preparatory work
– Switch off all power consumers and switch off the engine.
– Remove the seat. ( p. 53)

– Open fuse box cover 1.

– Remove the defective fuse.
Guideline
Fuse 1 - 10 A - EFI control unit
Fuse 2 - 10 A - fuel pump
Fuse 3 - 10 A - high beam, low beam, parking light, tail light, license plate lamp
Fuse 4 - 10 A - horn, brake light, turn signal, radiator fan
Fuse 5 - 10 A - ignition lock (optional)
Fuses res - 10 A - spare fuses

A defective fuse can be identified by the burned-out fuse wire A.
Warning
Fire hazard The electrical system can be overloaded if the wrong fuses are
used.
– Use only fuses with the prescribed amperage. Never by-pass or repair
fuses.
– Use spare fuses with the correct rating only.

Tip
Replace the spare fuse in the fuse box so that it is available if needed.
– Check that the power consumer is functioning properly.
– Close the fuse box cover.

– Mount the seat. ( p. 53)
