15.4Checking the basic position of the shift lever

– Sit on the vehicle in the riding position and determine distance A between the
upper edge of your boot and the shift lever.

» If the distance does not meet specifications:

– Remove screw 1 and remove shift lever 2.
B01108-10
– Clean gear teeth A of the shift lever and shift shaft.
– Mount shift lever 2 on the shift shaft in the required position and engage the gear-
ing.

The range of adjustment is limited.
The shift lever must not come into contact with any other vehicle compo-
nents during the shift procedure.
– Mount and tighten screw 1.
