Warnings
l Warning: Do not use the chiller if the power cord is frayed. This condition can cause a shock hazard.
l Warning: Do not disassemble the chiller:
l Access to internal components can cause a shock hazard.
l Improper servicing can damage the chiller unit and void the warranty.
l Warning: Avoid strikes to the housing, vibrations, damage to the control panel , and contamination.
l Warning: Make sure that the mains power supply has low impedance to avoid any negative effects on instruments being
operated on the same mains.
l Warning: Protect the unit from contamination.
l Warning: This unit is designed for operation in a controlled electromagnetic environment. Therefore, transmitting devices
(such as mobile phones) should not be used in the immediate vicinity. Magnetic radiation may affect other devices with
components sensitive to magnetic fields.
l Warning: Do not expose the unit to sunlight.
Cautions
l Caution: Do not operate the chiller above 35°C.
l Caution: Do not store the chiller above 70°C.
l Caution: Do not obstruct the rear air outlet and cooling fans; restriction of air flow will impair performance. Maintain a
minimum of 3 inch clearance around the rear air outlet and cooling fans.
Chiller Setup
A Labcyte service representative will set up the chiller during Echo Liquid Handler installation. If you need to set up the chiller
again (for example, after relocation of the Echo Liquid Handler), use the procedure below. The references in parenthesis
throughout the steps refer to the callouts in the chiller image below.

1. Place the chiller on a stable base under the Echo Liquid Handler or on a stable base beside the Echo Liquid Handler. Avoid
exposure to strong vibrations and shock.
