11 Appendix C – Changing the Focal Length
Before opening any part of the head, clean off the dust and/or process debris using an exterior
cleaning towel (PLTLS0023) or equivalent.
Always wear powder free gloves or finger cots when handling optics and optic holders.
1. Replace the focus lens with a lens of the desired focal length according to Section 5.4 and Section 5.5.
For steps 2 and 3, see Figure 69.
2. Loosen the (4) captive M4 SHCS or (3) M3 SHCS on the bottom and remove each existing spacer.
3. Align the desired spacer block(s) and tighten the (4) captive M4 SHCS on the bottom of each spacer
according to the chart below.
