1 The Lely Shuttle Sampling Device
1.1 The Lely Shuttle
The Lely Shuttle sampling device is a device that automatically takes milk samples during milking with the
Lely Astronaut milking robot.
The shuttle contains a rack with sampling bottles. The Lely Astronaut Milking Robot control system keeps
records on the number of the sampling vessel in the rack and the cow's identity.
The commands for sampling are selected with the E-Link and T4C software. The T4C software can create a
report “Lely Milk Sampling” that complies with the requirements of the milk inspection authority and can
be send to the milk inspection authority.
1.2 Intended Use
The Lely Shuttle sampling device is used to take automatically milk samples during milking with the Lely
Astronaut milking robot.
